I WISH I could say these breath-taking PEONIES are from our garden.  

 I went a bit flower CRAZY when I stepped into our local TRADER JOE'S and saw these lovelies.  

 As the blooms open, I place them in mason jars spreading their beauty to each room in our home.

Dining room centerpiece

Fresh flowers always inspire me to decorate.  The PINK HYDRANGEA plants are from....TRADER JOE'S, of course.  I placed 3 large plants in my old dough bowl (thanks, Janet!)

 I added a candle wrapped in a "sweater" I made, a metal crown, a Madonna statue, a few twigs, books...

 and a vintage birdhouse (thanks, Nikki!)

I love these vintage player piano scrolls.  Thanks, Bev and Nick!

On the other side of the dough bowl I placed another Madonna statue inside a glass enclosure I filled with old books.  I'm sure my husband is wondering why there isn't room on our dining room table for plates! 

 I also made a few changes to the living room.  See what fresh flowers can do?

 I moved our small round table and rustic chair from near the armoire to a cozy spot behind our overstuffed chair.

This yard sale find has a new home in front of our overstuffed chair.  Love the original chippy paint and the New York shipping tag on the bottom.  The storage is also a PLUS!

I purchased this old basket from the Topanga Vintage Flea Market (Thanks, Marilyn!)  While our fireplace isn't in use, I like the basket on our hearth.  I lined the basket with a curtain panel from Jeanne d'Arc Living which you can find here.


Yes, I love JOE!  He sells gorgeous flowers and motivates me to rearrange our home.

 Our home is featured in this issue! We are blessed beyond measure....

Our daybed in the Master Bedroom (No, I don't sleep there.  Our cat, Mochi, can be seen at times enjoying the sunshine and gazing out the window.  See photo below.)

Old mirror and bird cage above our day bed.  Doug attached an old fence plank to serve as a shelf for my flowers and candles.  The old bird cage won't house my finches, so I use it for a candlier.

Just Arrived Today....CASA ROMANTICA MAGAZINE!

Just when I thought receiving Jennifer's Cottage of the Month Award was enough....Federal Express delivered several issues of the coveted Italian publication, CASA ROMANTICA! You're probably wondering why I'm desperately in need/want of this magazine.  Well, that's our dining room table (and my name) on the FRONT COVER!  What?  Really?

Oh, and if that isn't enough, our back yard deck is on the BACK COVER!  What?  Really?

This gorgeous magazine isn't distributed in the U.S., so it's difficult to find.  I can't tell you about the hoops my husband jumped through to get these delivered to our doorstep!
