Yard Sale Finds

Overly anxious to get this project completed, I forgot to take a "before" photo. These cane folding chairs (yes, they are folding chairs!) were a neglected sight when I found them on a parkway in my neighborhood. The cost for a neglected sight: FREE!White paint and new cushions turned this forgotten pair into two more mix and match chairs for my dream farm table (another husband project!)This cane office chair rocks, swivels and rolls. I bought it at a yard sale for $22.50 (original asking price was $40.) I agreed to buy another wooden office chair and paid a total of $45 for both chairs (the other chair remains in the garage with so many other projects.) I thought it was a bargain even though I was only looking for one office chair!
A pretty pink floral cushion will complete this project. Sigh. . . . Yard sale finds require so much work!
Finally, a yard sale find that I love "as is." This is the before AND after photo of a white table I now have in my kitchen. It was already white and chippy! The seller actually apologized for the chipped white paint. Little did he know the chippy paint was the charm that warmed my heart! The cost for a good heart warming: $5. All it needed was a good scrubbing. It also came with a large black widow spider that my kids placed in a jar and observed for days.
This cute little table also has a leaf in the middle that folds on hinges under the table. Ingenious! My next mission: vintage stools for my vintage table!

Special note: The pink roses on the table were given to my daughter from her piano student at their recent piano recital. So sweet! Here is a close up of their beauty!
Remember to stop and smell the roses!

Wow, you have done a lot of painting Cindy, and I have still to make the cushion for my lovely chain back chair. How do you get it all done ? Everything looks perfect, I love the office chair too would never have thought of painting that , but it looks great.
How about some step by step tutorial on how you paint everything?
The kitchen table is wonderful too, I want it for my studio, but you wouldn't give that up right? LOL
