Turkey Day

Artwork by Will - 5 years old.

This year we hosted Thanksgiving dinner for 11 including our family of 6 with 5 neighbors/friends. I reused Halloween pumpkins for our Thanksgiving decor. Ornamental cabbage surrounds more left over pumpkins. I found a succulent wreath on sale at Lowe's. Orange tulips for the guest bathroom. Our mantel was simply decorated with candles and fruit. This was our first large gathering at the farm table my husband made. I bought bouquets of fresh flowers at Trader Joe's and arranged them in sections for our centerpiece. Pears and grapes were washed and added to the flower arrangement for guests to enjoy as they awaited the main course. The glass hens I purchased several years ago at Target served salad to each guest. The coffee mugs and matching bread/dessert plates were purchased at Home Goods. The ivory metal lace chargers were bought at an antique shop several years ago. Now that Turkey Day is over it's time to prepare for Christmas! Thanks for visiting.

Your table ROCKED! I'm still debating getting a new white dining set and that picture just really got me! I wish my hubby could make me one--I would be in heaven!

I also love what you did with your pumpkins.

Your table looks so beautiful! I love that succulent wreath! Those are usually so expensive...I'll have to see if our Lowes has them on sale. I've been wanting one of those!
