Charme!

This French antique armoire has a story. It stood for many lonely months in a corner of the antique mall I featured in my last blog post. It first caught my eye during one of my many shopping trips, but I knew I couldn't afford to purchase it. Each time I paid a visit I imagined it in my living room. The price was reduced the third time I visited, so I had high hopes. The night before my birthday I prayed that the price would be reduced again (I know, quite the selfish prayer!)
WELL, the next day (my birthday) I visited my favorite armoire with my husband (I lovingly call him The Bank.) I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the price had been REDUCED AGAIN! Well, I knew my prayer was answered, the timing was right, it was meant to be. . . . . all the things I tell myself when I want something VERY BADLY!The armoire now stores my Rachel Ashwell linen "collection," shabby fabrics, cushions, and some cutepinkstuff inventory. I'm so grateful to have a piece of furniture I truly LOVE! Be sure to visit the antique mall previously posted if you are in the Agoura Hills, CA area. Who knows, you may also find that one treasure you absolutely adore!

Very Vintage Meets Cute Pink Stuff

Very Vintage has always been one of my favorite places to shop. The open door is always inviting. Vintage bedding greets you upon your arrival. Fancy lights, glass knobs. . .jewelry, wood windows, chandeliers, friendly service. . . and that's what you find JUST at the front counter!

In the shop you will find gigantic ornate mirrors. . .kitchen items. . .hutches, tables. . .wood doors, balustrades. . .baskets full of hankies. . . lawn statues wearing veils. . .Raggedy Anne, teddies. . .French antique hall trees. . .(I hope to one day purchase this one!)
fine china, figurines. . .chairs, vanities, shelves. . .lamps, dressers and more gigantic ornate mirrors. . .
beds, bird cages, art. . .dress forms, pillows, pink nighties. . .pink porch swings hanging from the ceiling. . .
clocks, bureaus, books. . .rooms full of wonderful treasures. . . and my favorite, an old screen door at the back of the shop!
You are certain to find something to be thankful for at Very Vintage! This week I was thankful to open a space for all my cutepinkstuff. This is it! Nice. . . It all began with a fresh coat of paint courtesy of hubby, Doug! I spent all week at Very Vintage stocking my space. Please stop by to visit! I'm in Space CPS (CutePinkStuff) located in the second shop on the right as you enter the front door. The Very Vintage Antique Mall is located at 28861 Agoura Road, Agoura Hills, California. Plan on spending the entire day shopping because there are several other antique shops in the mall. Each shop has an ecclectic mix of old and new, shiny and shabby. You will be in shopping "heaven!"

Green With Envy!

This is what I've been doing:
Instead of finishing projects, I've been starting new ones! I have the "bling bug!"
This is what I SHOULD be doing: Painting, not playing.Yes, we are now proud owners of a VERY GREEN piano! Before your envy sets in, let me tell you more. My parents-in-law purchased it for $150 at a thrift shop and it's in great condition! In it's day it was a player piano. The black box and cord have since been removed.Soon (more like later) it will be painted white to coordinate with our other white furniture. In the meantime, my daughter is filling our home with beautiful melodies! I'll be sure to post the redo soon.
